Frolicking Food Scientist and Fiber Fanatic
This is quite possibly my favorite food holiday...although I think i said that last week for another food holiday....but, anyway, I love cookies.  I have since I was a child.  My Mom used to call me the "cookie monster" as soon as we watched the real Cookie Monster on Sesame Street.
I love him. He's my favorite.  And he loves chocolate chip cookies!

According to a useless statistic I read recently, the average American eats 35,000 cookies in their lifetime. It's December, which means I'm baking close to 35,000 cookies to give to friends and family for Christmas.  My favorite recipe is for Toll House cookies, and I use the recipe right off the back of the bag (or right here) of Nestle's Toll House morsels. Why mess with success??

I do try new recipes each year. This year my daughter made these Eggnog Kringla cookies and they are delicious!  I'm dunking one in my coffee as I'm writing this.

Cookies are easy to bake and everyone loves at least one kind of cookie. There's also plenty of recipes out there iff you're diabetic or counting carbs. Check out this recipe for low-carb chocolate chip cookies
Happy baking!

I miss the cookies that my mother used to make every December. They just don't taste the same when I make them.
